FA Names Paparazzi-Linked SliverHub As Official England Photographer

The FA, which likes to keep England’s training sessions "under wraps," now has official photographers who work for the same company as the "biggest paparazzi agency in the world," according to Charles Sale of the London DAILY MAIL. Long-time FA partner Getty Images was replaced by SilverHub to take pictures inside the England camp. Silverhub's "photographic empire" includes Splash News & Picture Agency, the global paparazzi leader, and celebrity-picture business Flynet. Photographers "go to extraordinary lengths" to take pictures of England players during closed practice sessions at major tournaments. Police drones discovered "snappers in the trees overlooking England’s Chantilly training base at Euro 2016." So it will "raise eyebrows" to see that the FA is giving the owners of Splash News official access. An FA spokesperson said that there was "loose knowledge" of SilverHub’s other photo agency interests but "no concern as they are separate entities" (DAILY MAIL, 12/11).
