The club said that 56-year-old Veh signed a contract through June '20 (AP, 12/6). ... Former Australian Football League exec RICHARD SIMKISS was “thrown a career lifeline“ by media exec CRAIG HUTCHISON. Simkiss starts on Thursday as group business director for Hutchison’s media company, Crocmedia (HERALD SUN, 12/6).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Serie A side Crotone coach DAVID NICOLA resigned following four straight losses in all competitions. The move came following an "apparent clash with club management" after a 3-0 defeat at home against Udinese on Monday. The club is in 16th place in the league, two points above the relegation zone (AP, 12/6).
