Media Notes: Liverpool Restricts CL Audio Access To Its Official Website

Liverpool "made the decision to restrict audio access" to the side's Champions League match against Spartak Moscow to its official website. The club is limiting BBC 5 Live to a reporter who can send "brief updates and post-match interviews with the managers and players from both sides." The decision "will deny a likely listener base of more than" 1 million people the chance to listen to the fixture (London GUARDIAN, 12/3).

Telecom América Móvil was awarded the TV rights in 17 territories across Latin America for the Olympic Games from '18-24. Under the terms of the deal, América Móvil, through its brands Claro and Claro video, "grabs exclusive digital rights for most of the region" (RAPID TV NEWS, 12/2).

Global sports provider Eleven Sports and live streaming service YouNow announced a partnership that will see YouNow's new, blockchain-powered Rize app showcase live content from Eleven Sports in the U.S. YouNow will launch Rize, the world's first cryptocurrency-powered mobile video app, in January (Eleven Sports).

German pay-TV channel Motorvision TV "extended its reach in Austria." Motorvision TV joined IPTV platform A1 TV, operated by A1 Telekom Austria, on Friday. Since April, Motorvision TV has been available on the cable network of UPC in Austria (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 12/1).
