NBL Side New Zealand Breakers Owners Seeking Investors

National Basketball League side New Zealand Breakers Owners Paul and Liz Blackwell are "looking for investors to take ownership" of the club so they can "either step away, or reduce their shareholding," according to the NEW ZEALAND HERALD. They purchased the Breakers in '05, turning the franchise into "one of the standard bearers of the competition." The franchise has won four NBL titles under their ownership, and is currently first in this season's standings. Paul Blackwell said, "We have thought about this long and hard and spoken with those close to us and the club. We believe the timing is perfect for us to make this decision and, more importantly, for a new majority owner to lead the club into what promises to be an exciting new phase as the NBL continues to grow and develop" (NZ HERALD, 11/14).
