Media Notes: CONMEBOL Terminates Sponsorship, Media Deal With Datisa

CONMEBOL announced the termination of its sponsorship and re-broadcasting contract with Datisa for the '19 and '23 editions of the Copa América. The deal was signed in '15 and has now come to an end due to "acts of corruption," according to CONMEBOL, which in a statement said, "The decision comes at a time when the US Department of Justice has concluded an investigation in which several members of Datisa's Board of Directors pleaded guilty to corruption in order to obtain the sponsorship and re-broadcasting rights from Conmebol. Therefore, Conmebol has the evidence to support the termination of the contract and cut ties with Datisa in a definite way" (TODO TV NEWS, 11/10).

Eleven Sports partnered with the Spanish Basketball League (ACB) to livestream Sunday's Real Madrid vs. Barcelona match on Facebook and Twitter. It is the first time Real Madrid-Barcelona has been streamed live on Facebook and Twitter across a number of Eleven Sports markets (Eleven Sports). 

Ginx Esports TV concluded a channel carriage deal with Sky Italia "which will see Ginx Esports TV available to Italian viewers." This represents the fourth launch for Ginx Esports TV in recent months (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 11/10).

Ski Sport Finland extended its int'l media partnership with Infront Sports & Media through '26. The new agreement covers all int'l media and broadcasting rights for the Men's and Ladies' Int'l Ski Federation Alpine & Freestyle Skiing World Cup events to be held in Finland (Infront). 

Chinese retail firm Suning Group signed a partnership deal with German multinational software corporation SAP, "which includes a partnership with Suning's sports business." Suning Sports and SAP will jointly work on Suning football clubs' data management consisting of Jiangsu Suning FC, Jiangsu Suning Ladies and Inter Milan based on  sports-specific cloud solution SAP Sports One. Suning will also integrate the data analysis system offered by SAP into its other sports business sectors (YUTANG SPORTS, 11/8).
