Media Notes: Sky Pacific Secures Rights To Show Autumn Rugby Test Matches

Pay-TV station Sky Pacific secured the rights to show seven live matches from the autumn rugby test tours. It will show Fiji's "toughest match" on the tour, against Ireland on Nov. 19. Fiji's matches against Italy on Sunday and against Canada on Nov. 26 will not be shown live (FIJI VILLAGE, 11/9).

European Professional Club Rugby launched a tender process for the distribution of int'l broadcast rights for the European Rugby Champions Cup and Challenge Cup for a four-year period starting in '18-19. The process will be managed by The Sports Consultancy (EPCR).

Ericsson renamed its broadcast & media services business Red Bee Media. The Red Bee Media name and brand identity will apply to all of Ericsson’s Broadcast & Media Services businesses worldwide. Red Bee Media is now an independent business fully owned by Ericsson (Ericsson).
