Marketplace Roundup: Fluminense Partners With Universal Orlando Resort

Brasileiro side Fluminense announced a partnership with the Universal Orlando Resort. The NBC Universal-owned U.S. theme park "will sponsor the Tricolor team in a short-term deal" until Nov. 15. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed (SOCCEREX, 10/27).

The WGC-HSBC Champions golf tournament announced a four-year partnership with Mercedes-Benz as a sponsor and official car of the event. The car manufacturer provided a fleet of more than 70 vehicles for the use of players and officials over the weekend for the tournament staged at Sheshan Int'l Golf Club. Additionally, it built a Mercedes me Café overlooking the driving range (IMG).

Smartphone maker Huawei announced a partnership with Dubai Sports Council. Huawei will be the presenting sponsor for this year's Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, which will be held from Tuesday-Saturday. It is the company's "first major sport sponsorship deal" (GULF NEWS, 10/28).

The French Handball Federation (FFH) announced German sports equipment brand Kettler as an official provider. It is the first partnership with a national sports federation for Kettler (FFH).
