Part Of Renovated Tynecastle Stadium To Be Named After Fan Group

Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midlothian supporters will "have a piece of the new-look Tynecastle" named in their honor after they helped fund the £12M ($15.8M) redevelopment, according to the Scotland DAILY RECORD. Club Owner Ann Budge revealed that the area outside the new main stand will be named the Foundation Plaza. Fan group the Foundation of Hearts "pumped" £3M ($3.9M) into the project. The club hopes to play its first match in front of the new 7,300-capacity stand when Partick Thistle visits on Nov. 19 after "twice delaying the opening date." Budge: "We are nearly there, and personally, I can’t wait. We currently have around 150 men working on site on a daily basis, many of whom are working late shifts and weekends" (DAILY RECORD, 10/29).
