Worcestershire CCC Signs Five-Year Deal With Blackfinch Investments, Renames New Road

Worcestershire County Cricket Club's "historic" New Road will be renamed after securing a five-year deal with Blackfinch Investments, according to Geoff Berkeley of the WORCESTER NEWS. The move will see the county ground named Blackfinch New Road and the club will net "an annual figure in excess of six figures." Worcestershire CCC CEO Tom Scott said that selling the naming rights was another step toward securing the club's "long-term financial security." He said, "It is the first time in New Road’s history that it will share its name with a commercial partner." Earlier this year, the club revealed debts of more than £5M despite a surplus of £428,661 for the past financial year. Blackfinch Investments has sponsored Worcestershire CCC since '16 and became its official main sponsor last season (WORCESTER NEWS, 10/26).
