League Two Side Lincoln City To Consider Safe Standing Areas In New Stadium

League Two side Lincoln City Chair Bob Dorrian said that the club would consider having "safe standing" areas in its new stadium, according to Mark Whiley of LINCOLNSHIRE LIVE. The club is hoping to "move to a new home in the Beevor Street area of the city" within the next five years. The stadium, which would have a capacity of at least 12,000, forms part of the "ambitious Western Growth Corridor project" that would also see the construction of more than 3,000 new homes in the Swanpool area of the city. Support "is increasing among clubs around the country for safe standing areas to be allowed." Dorrian said that "it is something the club would consider, provided it has the backing of supporters" (LINCOLNSHIRE LIVE, 10/9).
