ESPN To Televise Preseason Games Between NBA, NBL Teams Live In Australia

The NBA struck an agreement with ESPN to televise all three preseason games against National Basketball League teams live in Australia, according to Matt Logue of the Sydney DAILY TELEGRAPH. In a "significant win for Australian basketball," fans will be able to watch the Sydney Kings take on the Utah Jazz, Melbourne United face the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Brisbane Bullets against the Phoenix Suns on Foxtel. Two of the three games will be played during the day in Australia, with Sydney and Brisbane's matches aired on ESPN at 12pm and 1pm, respectively. In addition to ESPN's telecast, the three games will also be available through NBA League Pass, the league's live game subscription service. A record-tying eight Australian players were on '16-17 opening night NBA rosters, including Joe Ingles (Utah) and Patty Mills (San Antonio Spurs), both of whom previously played in the NBL (DAILY TELEGRAPH, 9/19).
