Premiership Rugby Side Sale Sharks To Honor Manchester Terror Victims

Premiership Rugby side Sale Sharks' away shirt for the '17-18 season will feature the "iconic worker bee in memory of the victims of the Manchester terror attack," according to Nigel Barlow of ABOUT MANCHESTER. The Manchester-based club kicked off its season last Friday. The worker bee -- which "represents the industrial heritage of Manchester and was adopted into the city’s coat of arms" in 1842 -- will join the logos of corporate partners Together, Litmos, Morson and headline sponsor UKFast on the shirt. Manchester-based charity Seashell Trust will also be featured on the away shirt (ABOUT MANCHESTER, 9/1). In Manchester, Lucy Roue reported a Manchester rehabilitation center received a delivery of 37 new mattresses from Sale Sharks rugby players. Former English int'l rugby union player and Sale Sharks Commercial Dir Mark Cueto said, "To have the opportunity to team up with our corporate partner Leesa UK on this amazing initiative was a real pleasure for our players and for the club" (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 9/4).
