Spanish Basketball League President Francisco Roca To Resign In November
Spanish Basketball League (ACB) President Francisco Roca "sent a letter to the league's clubs announcing his resignation," according to Juan Jiménez of AS. His contract "requires him to provide three months' notice when announcing his resignation." The ACB said that Roca will end his tenure in November. He was "affected by an assembly" on Aug. 11, when a Spanish court accepted Real Betis' request to be readmitted to the competition. Roca believed that the assembly "should oppose the club's readmission, but lost the vote" (AS, 8/21).
