The final of the inaugural Pro14 "will be staged at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin next year." Last season's Pro12 final was held in the same 51,700-capacity venue, with Welsh side Scarlets defeating Munster. Cardiff's Principality Stadium was also considered before Dublin was selected to host the match on May 26 (BBC, 8/22).
Building contractor Ghelamco will file a new application for the construction of Brussels' Eurostadium with the Flemish government "as time is running out for the venue." The Belgian capital is "slotted to host multiple matches during Euro 2020." But construction of the stadium "has faced bureaucratic obstacles and delays." Ghelamco will now pursue the option of a centralized building application. The authorities have 120 days to "consider the application for approval" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 8/22).
Pukekohe Park has "taken another step" toward securing its status as "the home of New Zealand motorsport" with the unveiling of 28 new pit garages. The steel garages have been built in time for this year's ITM Auckland SuperSprint from Nov. 3-5 at a cost of NZ$500,000 ($363,900). They "replace the tents used previously underneath a viewing platform" (STUFF, 8/22).
