Pro14 Side Connacht CEO Expresses Frustration With Stadium Delays

Pro14 side Connacht CEO Willie Ruane "outlined his continued frustration at the delays" in the club's attempt to build a new stadium for the province, according to Ciarán Ó Raghallaigh of the LONDON TIMES. He "is keen for Connacht to progress from the Galway Sportsground." Connacht has "three potential locations in mind for a new stadium," however a timescale has yet to be finalized. Ruane said, "They're fully scoped out, fully costed, and the drawings are done so it really is a case of selecting which location we'd go with and then progress it to the next stage. Some of that comes down to what we would be able to achieve, and what might be viable in each location. That's where it's at. Unfortunately, and this has been the case for a while, we're working at the pace of others, but we're pushing it as much as we can. It's frustrating, I won't deny that" (LONDON TIMES, 8/16).
