Facility Notes: Bournemouth Submits Planning Application For New Training Complex

Premier League side Bournemouth submitted a planning application to the Borough of Poole for a "new multi-million pound training complex." The club recently acquired the 57-acre former Canford Magna Golf Club site and is "planning a phased development to eventually house the first team, development squad, academy and pre-academy training operations and facilities in one location" (SKY SPORTS, 8/14).

League One side Bristol Rovers President Wael Al-Qadi is "keen to include a safe standing area as part of a revamped Memorial Stadium." The club is seeking to redevelop its present home after plans for a 21,000-capacity stadium at the University of West of England fell through (BBC, 8/14).
