Media Notes: Brazilian Football Confederation Partners With Synergy Football

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced a partnership with Synergy Football. The agency was appointed in an advisory role to "assist with the sale of media rights" for the country’s national team games. The CBF is "seeking to market the rights" from November through the 2022 World Cup (SOCCEREX, 8/11).

Modern Times Group extended its exclusive media rights to the Kontinental Hockey League in the Nordic region until '21. Starting from the '17-18 season, which gets under way on Aug. 21, KHL matches will be shown live on MTG’s Viasat Hockey channel in Finland, Norway and Sweden and Viaplay streaming service in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 8/11).

Fears have been "raised about a shortage of greyhounds" next year when the rights to broadcast races are split between two rival groups. The Bookmakers Afternoon Greyhound Service has for 30 years "distributed pictures through a company called SIS but will go its own way" in '18 (London TELEGRAPH, 8/12).
