Paris St. Germain Still Waiting For Neymar's Int'l Transfer Certificate From La Liga

Paris St. Germain is "still waiting for the necessary documents to make Neymar's transfer official," according to Sebastien Nieto of LE PARISIEN. PSG is "the victim of a conflict" between the French Football Federation and La Liga. Neymar's int'l transfer certificate is the last piece of paperwork needed for him to register with the FFF and then the French Professional Football League (LFP). Even though he signed a five-year contract with PSG last Thursday, "it is not worth much without this paper." Should La Liga stall past Thursday, the "maximum allowed delay," FIFA will take action. That "could lengthen the soap opera for up to 10 days," and deprive Neymar of playing in PSG’s second match of the season against Guingamp on Sunday (LE PARISIEN, 8/8).

UNPAID BONUS: SKY SPORTS' Bryan Swanson reported sources said that Neymar is "considering a formal complaint to FIFA against his former club" over an unpaid loyalty bonus. The most expensive signing in world football reportedly feels "very bad" over the withheld payment. Barcelona is refusing to pay a £23M ($30M) bonus to Neymar's father "following a contract renewal last year." It is understood Neymar's lawyers have "yet to lodge paperwork to world football's governing body but the option remains under consideration" (SKY SPORTS, 8/8).

FFP CONCERNS: ESPN.com's Jonathan Johnson reported Olympique Lyonnais President Jean-Michel Aulas welcomed the world-record arrival of Neymar in Ligue 1 but "voiced concern over the financial dominance" of PSG. Aulas recently warned of the "dangerous bubble" created by PSG's wealth, but said that he was "not against the move." However, he said that he had "serious reservations" about whether financial fair play regulations worked (ESPN.com, 8/8).
