Everton streamed a first-team game on Facebook Live for the first time on Sunday as the club drew with La Liga side Sevilla 2-2 in its final preseason friendly. The match was made available via the official Everton Facebook page, giving the stream an estimated reach of 3.4 million, and was
watched by over 1.5 million fans (

Fans of La Liga and Spanish second division clubs attending matches this season "
will be able to see the best plays replayed on stadium videoboards." What is shown in stadiums, however, "will be slightly different than the replays that air on TV to avoid replaying controversial plays, as FIFA does during the World Cup" (

The Women’s Euro 2017 final between the Netherlands and Denmark, which the Netherlands won 4-2, drew 1.2 million viewers to France 2 on Sunday, translating to a 12.2% market share (L’ÉQUIPE, 8/7).
Ginx Esports TV secured global TV rights to The Int'l Dota 2 Championships 2017. The tournament will run from Monday through Saturday and "will be held again at the KeyArena in Seattle." Six teams have direct invites, "while another 12 come in via qualifiers" from the Americas, Southeast Asia, Europe and China. There will be 16 teams competing in the main event. It is the "premier event" in the esports calendar and this year's prize pool is more than $23M (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 8/7).
Discovery Communications said that it will "form an automotive media company through a consolidated joint venture" with TEN: The Enthusiast Network. The new joint venture, to be called TEN: A Discovery Communications Company, "will bring together" Discovery’s Velocity channel and TEN’s entire automotive digital, direct-to-consumer, social and live event portfolio (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 8/5).
Orange Spain is making Orange TV Fútbol, which includes all La Liga and Copa del Rey games for the '17-18 season, available for €1 ($1.18) a month. However, to watch them, "all new and existing customers will have to take out a contract for Orange TV Cinema and Series this month" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 8/7).
Czech public broadcaster Ceske Televize secured the rights to the World Athletics Championships until '23. The next World Athletics Championships will be held in Doha, Qatar, in '19, followed by Portland, U.S., in '21 (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 8/7).
