FA Announces Candidates For Three-Person Panel To Determine Diving Bans

BBC Sport pundits Danny Murphy and Trevor Sinclair are among the 13 former players, managers and officials "who will review alleged dives in English football" during the '17-18 season, according to the BBC. Former England keeper Rachel Brown-Finnis is the only woman included in the FA pool. A three-person panel -- chosen from the 13 -- "will review footage each Monday to look for cases of simulation." Players unanimously found guilty "will be banned under new rules." The 13-person pool includes: Murphy, Sinclair, Brown-Finnis, former Southampton and Reading Manager Nigel Adkins, former England defender Terry Butcher, former Arsenal and England player Lee Dixon, former Scotland Manager Alex McLeish, former Huddersfield Manager Chris Powell, and former officials Keren Barratt, Steve Dunn, Mike Mullarkey, Alan Wiley and Eddie Wolstenhome (BBC, 8/4).
