Bruin Sports Capital's Deltatre Partners With FINA On OTT Platform

Bruin Sports Capital-owned media company Deltatre struck a long-term partnership with the Int’l Swimming Federation (FINA) to create a new OTT video service, FINAtv. The offering will show live and on-demand coverage of FINA’s key competitions -- beginning with the FINA World Championships starting this weekend in Budapest -- plus other FINA-sanctioned events for diving and water polo, among others. FINAtv will be available on mobile and TV platforms and via AirPlay and Chromecast.

Pricing will vary based on individual country, but in the U.S., FINAtv will initially cost $39.99 per year or $19.99 for just the World Championships. After that competition, the annual rate will remain along with a monthly pass of $7.99. “FINAtv will be a gateway for the sport to cultivate a new generation of fans,” said FINA President Julio Maglione. For Deltatre, the deal follows recent agreements with the NFL to help develop NFL Game Pass in Europe and with Fox Sports to rebuild its OTT offerings for football and rugby.
