Facility Notes: Lord's Cricket Ground Installs Concrete Barricades For Upcoming Matches

Lord's Cricket Ground is "installing heavy concrete barricades around the stadium to protect fans from terror attacks at two upcoming matches." Lord's will stage a national final on Saturday and then the first Test match between England and South Africa. Lord’s owner Marylebone Cricket Club spokesperson Neil Priscott said that the measure "will remain in place until the middle of September following England’s match with the West Indies" (BLOOMBERG, 6/30).

Plans for a 12,000-seat stadium for National League club Lincoln City and "thousands of new homes have been unveiled." The City of Lincoln Council "published details of its planned development, known as the Western Growth Corridor." The new stadium "would seat about 2,000 extra football fans compared to the current Sincil Bank ground" (BBC, 7/1).
