Mexico City Announces It Will Invest Over $1M In New Boxing Center

Mexico City government official Mauricio Toledo announced a "specialized boxing center" will be built in the Mexican capital, according to Ilich Valdez of MILENIO. World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaimán "attended the announcement." The city will invest 20M Mexican pesos ($1.12M) in the center. Toledo said, "We are going to sign an agreement with Secretary of Social Development José Ramón Amieva so that retired boxers can work in this space which will be dedicated to Sulaimán" (MILENIO, 6/28).
