Media Notes: Twitter, Sela Sport To Livestream 2017 Arab Championship

Twitter and Sela Sport announced they will partner to livestream matches during the 2017 Arab Championship, the Arab world's inter-club football tournament, to a global audience. This marks the first live streaming deal for football on Twitter with a partner in the Middle East and North Africa region. Twitter will livestream all of the matches, free of charge, worldwide. The matches streamed by Sela Sport on Twitter will be broadcast in Arabic and include analysis, highlights, interviews and behind-the-scenes coverage (Twitter).

Sunset+Vine confirmed "it will be the host broadcaster for Henley Royal Regatta for a third year in a row." Broadcasts for the '17 event will include eight hours per day of live streaming as well as a daily 20-minute highlights program. Both will be distributed across the HRR's YouTube and social media channels. In addition, Sunset+Vine will produce the final three days of racing for BT Sport (SVG EUROPE, 6/22).

Sony Pictures Networks India and WWE announced the launch of a new weekly show in Hindi, "WWE Sunday Dhamaal," beginning on Sunday at 6pm on Sony MAX. "WWE Sunday Dhamaal" will be presented by TV personalities Salil Acharya and Madonna Tixeira and include exclusive features (WWE).

ManvsMachine London and Nike won a gold Design Lion for "Go lighter go longer," a "metaphorical exploration of air and the negative space it occupies," to promote Nike Air Max 2017. The digital graphic-driven campaign "ran on Instagram, out-of-home placements Europe-wide and the retail design of both JD Sports and Footlocker." It also ran across Nike's digital properties globally (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 6/21).

Adidas' spot featuring Snoop Dogg and Stormzy and set to a cover of Frank Sinatra's My Way "has taken the Grand Prix at Cannes in Entertainment for Music." The 90-second spot, "Original is never finished," was created by Johannes Leonardo and "introduced a global campaign" for the sportswear company that promoted adidas Originals (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 6/21).
