Liverpool's James Milner Crushed By Monster In New Nivea Men Ad

Liverpool's James Milner "has had to put up with playing at left-back all season" and now he has "also had to suffer the indignity of being crushed by a monster in a Nivea advert," according to Mark Molloy of the London TELEGRAPH. The ad "bizarrely ends with Milner's untimely demise outside Anfield" after a game. Former Liverpool player Steven Gerrard "followed in the footsteps of David Beckham with a brief cameo" in the spot. Milner: "I gave it my best but I think the other lads are probably more natural actors than me" (TELEGRAPH, 5/18). In London, Will Griffee reported Milner "is seen stepping into his car, giving some fans around him a wave before the supporters look to the sky and run for cover." A "giant, clawed foot then crushes Milner in the car" and Gerrard gives his colleague in the rubble a "cheeky smile." Liverpool's Nivea Men adverts "have become something of a tradition" and the latest installment also features Roberto Firmino and Nathaniel Clyne, "who soaps himself down in the shower" (TELEGRAPH, 5/18).
