Mallorca Ownership Team Vows To Stay Committed Despite Threat Of Relegation

Spanish second division side Mallorca co-Owner Andy Kohlberg on Friday confirmed that he, Robert Sarver and Steve Nash "will stay with the club until it reaches its goals despite the threat of relegation" to Spain's third tier, according to the EFE. The group, led by Sarver, the owner of the NBA Phoenix Suns, acquired Mallorca in Jan. '16. Kohlberg: "We will be here although it will take a little longer to reach our objective." Mallorca defeated Almeria 1-0 on Saturday in front of a crowd of 12,940, and the club is now in 20th place in its 22-team league, "two points from safety" (EFE, 5/19).
