QTS To Continue Deal With Scottish Premiership Side Kilmarnock

Rail contractor QTS will sponsor Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock next season, according to David Wren of the Scotland DAILY RECORD. QTS Managing Dir Alan McLeish warned last year the company would pull sponsorship of the club if "under-fire" Dir Michael Johnston did not resign from his role. But McLeish and his board of directors have had a "change of heart" and the company will continue to be the club's main sponsor for a sixth year -- despite Johnston remaining on the club's board. McLeish said, "Despite some concerns late this year surrounding the board we have now reviewed the situation and decided that as a company we should continue to support the club and its community while board negotiations are ongoing." The Ayrshire-based company has been Kilmarnock's main shirt sponsor since the beginning of the '12-13 season. It now sponsors "all of the youth section at the club as well as Kilmarnock Ladies and it is thought the company has ploughed" around £700,000 ($904,540) into the club in that time (DAILY RECORD, 5/4).
