Media Notes: Women's National Basketball League Announces Three-Year Fox Sports Deal

The Women's National Basketball League will return to TV in '17-18, with the WNBL confirming a three-year partnership with Fox Sports. The arrangement will see at least one game per week, and every game throughout the WNBL Finals, broadcast live on Fox Sports through '19-20 (WNBL). 

ONE Championship has seen growth in TV viewership and social media engagement. In data released by Nielsen, Facebook and Repucom, ONE Championship grew exponentially from '14-17. The data shows that ONE has achieved 4 billion social media impressions, marking an 11-fold increase. The annual TV broadcast per country and peak TV ratings have also increased. ONE saw an average of 12-18 hours of TV broadcast in '14, and increased that to 100-1,800 hours. It also saw its peak TV ratings share rise to 11-20% from 1-2% just three years ago (ONE Championship).
