French Side Metz Suspends LC2 Shirt Sponsorship, Picks Up Force Glass

Ligue 1 side Metz announced it suspended its partnership with African firm LC2, according to OUEST-FRANCE. The sponsor, which had its slogan “Tchad, Oasis du Sahel” on the club’s jersey, “will not appear on the club’s kit because of payment difficulties.” The suspension of the contract, which was signed in August by LC2 Int’l Afnex to promote tourism in Chad, “does not signify the end of the collaboration between the two parties.” The club hopes to find an “amicable solution” (OUEST-FRANCE, 2/10). Starting Feb. 11, Metz players had a new sponsor on their jersey: Force Glass. Long-time club partner Bigben Interactive hopes to develop its Force Glass brand with the deal that will run until the end of the current season. The agreement also includes visibility at Metz’ Louis II de Monaco Stadium (Metz).
