Marketplace Roundup: PSG's Official Partner Decks 11 Taxis Out In Club Colors

From Nov. 18 through Dec. 31, Paris St. Germain's official transportation partner G7 will use "11 taxis decorated in PSG colors." The 11 cars will "also sport players’ names," with #OnzeG7PSG helping to get fans involved on social media. Fans have the chance to "take one of the 11 taxis for matchdays." Supporters will also be able to "find them by chance on non-matchdays." G7 General Dir Nicolas Banchet said, "They will be in circulation for six weeks and have the goal of being as visible as possible. But they are only 11 cars in a fleet of 8,000" (SPORTS MARKETING, 11/18).

Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund agreed to a new partnership with shoe manufacturer Atlas. The company will become a third-tier partner of the club and includes ad space on boards in camera view. The partnership "will run until the end of the '17-18 season." Atlas will pay an estimated €600,000 ($635,000) annually for its association with the club (SPONSORs, 11/18).

The ATP and French tennis equipment manufacturer Tecnifibre have announced a three-year extension of their partnership. The agreement sees Tecnifibre continue as a silver partner of the ATP World Tour through '20. The Paris-based global manufacturer will continue to produce the official racquet, string, bag and accessories of the ATP World Tour, and will remain a silver partner of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals as well as the official stringing service of the tournament (ATP). 

The World Surf League announced that Corona will be the first title sponsor of the WSL Championship Tour event in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa. The event will be called the Corona Open JBay. Corona and the WSL announced a multi-year partnership in March, making the brand the official beer of the WSL globally (WSL).
