Baseball New Zealand Signs Four-Year United Airlines Deal

Baseball New Zealand named United Airlines its title sponsor. The six-figure, four-year sponsorship agreement makes United Airlines BNZ’s leading commercial partner. The airline will receive naming rights to the organization’s national tournament program. BNZ CEO Ryan Flynn said, "This is a big deal for our entire baseball community. ... It’s a game changer for us for a variety of strategic reasons, namely because we are ‘people movers’ -- we must move so many young people, teams, coaches and staff around the globe for competition purposes, and we all know how expensive this proposition is on an annual basis for smaller sporting codes like ours." Flynn added that this deal will also assist the organization in bringing current and former Major League Baseball players to New Zealand for training and promotions purposes (Baseball New Zealand).
