FIFA Dir of TV NICLAS ERICSON "has agreed to leave" the organization, two weeks after the exit of long-term Marketing Dir THIERRY WEIL. A FIFA spokesperson said that Ericson "will leave at the end of the year" (BLOOMBERG, 10/19). ... DAMIAN COLLINS, a leading campaigner for the reform of FIFA, "has been elected" chair of the U.K. House of Commons’ Culture, Media & Sport Select Committee. Collins, the MP for Folkestone and Hythe, beat former Sports Minister HELEN GRANT in the election by 302 votes to 230 (LONDON TIMES, 10/20). ... MP & Silva announced that its board appointed JOCHEN LÖSCH as CEO. Lösch has almost 20 years' experience in leading exec positions in the int'l sports industry. He spent four years as managing director for Sportfive Americas, before becoming Sportfive’s VP of TV rights in '05. Most recently he was president of int'l business at Traffic Sports Marketing. Lösch will be responsible for setting the company’s vision, values, and business strategy, as well as leading global client relationships. He will also be responsible for driving growth across MP & Silva’s business functions, including its media property rights portfolio, and digital, technology and sponsorship services (MP & Silva). ... CSM Sport & Entertainment named WME-IMG VP/Global Partnerships TONIA CONSTABLE North America senior VP/consulting (THE DAILY).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Olympique de Marseille announced RUDI GARCIA as its new manager. Garcia, 52, signed a three-year contract and will take up his post on Friday. He replaces FRANCK PASSI, who was interim manager since the firing of MÍCHEL last year. Garcia has coached at Ligue 1 sides St. Etienne, Dijon, Le Mans and Lille, and was recently sacked by Serie A side AS Roma (OM).
