Marketplace Roundup: Adidas Releases New Pogba 'Football Needs Creators' Ad

Adidas revealed its latest global brand campaign starring ManU's Paul Pogba ahead of the on-air debut during ManU's match against Liverpool. The new film, titled Football Needs Creators, follows Pogba's journey beginning with his childhood in Roissey-en-Brie to his return to Old Trafford. Featuring a voiceover from his mother, the campaign shows how Pogba has always done the unexpected and calls on players around the world to harness their own creativity (adidas).

The 2016 BNP Paribas Masters tennis tournament, organized by the French Tennis Federation (FFT), “has acquired an important new partner with Emirates.” Already a premium partner with the ATP and an official partner of the Roland Garros, Emirates “signed a five-year contract with the Parisian tournament that will run until ’20.” The agreement sees Emirates’ logo visible on the court “in addition to being on the net, a space linked to its ATP partnership” (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 10/17).

Bayern Munich
and MAN extended their partnership, which began in '08, by a further three years until '19. As its commercial vehicle partner, MAN provides the Bundesliga club with its official team bus as well as a mobile fan shop. The Bayern Munich basketball team also travels to its home and away games on a MAN Lion’s Coach L. Financial terms were not revealed (Bayern Munich).

Australia's Fast5 Netball World Series team unveiled a new uniform. The designs -- "which reflect the fast-paced and dynamic energy of Fast5" -- give players the option of a bodysuit dress or a "skort"-and-top ensemble (HERALD SUN, 10/17).

The Copa del Rey renewed its sponsorship deal with Spanish carmaker Seat. Under the extended agreement, Seat will serve as an official sponsor of the tournament for the '16-17 and '17-18 seasons. Seat has been a partner of the event for the past five years (MARKET 4 SPORTS, 10/17).
