German Public Broadcasters ARD, ZDF Sign New Four-Year Deal With DTTB

German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF "have renewed their deal with the German Table Tennis Federation (DTTB) for another four years," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTENMETER. Sports rights agency SportA "negotiated a new deal with the DTTB that will include the annual German Open, as well as men's and women's European championship qualifiers." In addition, the public broadcasters "will show the national German championship, national ranking tournaments, women's Bundesliga and the home games of women's teams in both European club competitions, Champions League and ETTU Cup." The 2017 World Table Tennis Championship, set to take place in Dusseldorf, Germany, from May 29 until June 5, "are also part of the deal and will air on ARD and ZDF" (QUOTENMETER, 10/14).
