Marketplace Roundup: Bayern Munich Basketball Signs Three-Year Deal With SAP

Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) side Bayern Munich has agreed to a partnership with German-based software company SAP. The company signed a three-year deal with the team until '19. SAP is also a global partner of Bayern's football team (Bayern Munich).

The German Hockey Federation (DEB) "has signed a new sponsorship deal" with printing provider Saxoprint. As the federation's official printing partner, Saxoprint "will receive logo presence on official publications and ad material, as well as on two ad boards at every national team friendly." The two-year deal includes next year's 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, which will take place in Cologne and Paris. Saxoprint will pay an estimated €50,000 ($56,000) for the rights (SPONSORs, 10/4). 

Second Bundesliga side Union Berlin agreed to a partnership with digital solutions provider LMS Sport. The Duisberg-based company will look after Union's ticketing, merchandising and membership administration, bringing all three together under a single system. Under the deal, LMS will open a new Union fan store in the Berlin suburb of Köpenick, allowing fans to purchase both merchandise and matchday tickets, and to join the club's membership program (Union Berlin).

The French National Basketball League (LNB) announced a technical partnership with Gerflor. Sports-flooring provider Gerlor has signed with the LNB for the next three seasons. Gerflor is the official flooring provider for eight NBA franchises and an exclusive partner of the NCAA. Gerflor also equipped the Rio de Janeiro Olympics (LNB).

French hotel and resort company Alila has renewed its partnership with Olympique Lyonnais for another two seasons. Alila will continue to appear on the OL jerseys and will reinforce its support of the OL academy (OL).

League Two side Doncaster Rovers renewed its partnership with local shopping center Lakeside Village. Under the one-year deal, Lakeside Village will have an extensive sponsorship presence at Rovers’ home ground, the Keepmoat Stadium, for a third successive season. The shopping center will once again be the sole sponsor of the venue’s scoreboard (Doncaster Rovers).

EPL side Middlesbrough signed a deal with energy broker Utility Alliance. The business specializes in consulting with other firms to take a closer look at their energy usage and help make savings. As part of the deal, Utility Alliance will see its name in lights on the pitchside advertising at every home game at the Riverside Stadium, and will also feature on TV screens located around the stadium as well as in the matchday program (Middlesbrough FC).
