Indian Cricket Board Partners With Janalakshmi Financial Services For Three Years

The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Monday announced Janalakshmi Financial Services (JANA) as an official partner "for a period of three years," according to IANS. Janalakshmi will be the official financial services partner of the BCCI "where the brand would enjoy visibility on the field." The agreement will provide Janalakshmi "prominent in-stadium branding, on-ground advertising and activation rights for three years across the three formats" (IANS, 9/19). During the upcoming season, with New Zealand and England cricket series announced, a people's choice award -- "Jana Bankable Player," will be awarded to the most dependable players at the end of every match during the series. Multiple engagement opportunities have been created for fans to actively participate and vote for the "Jana Bankable Player." The audience can vote for the winner through Twitter using the #JanaBankable hashtag or on www.janabankableplayer.com. The winner of the award every match will receive a check of Rs 1 Lakh ($15,030) for the upcoming New Zealand series starting on Thursday. Additionally, the voting fans also can win tickets for the next match (JANA).
