Austrian Energy Drink Producer Red Bull Reports Record Numbers For '15 Financial Year

Red Bull "has reported the best result in its history for the '15 fiscal year," according to N-TV. The Austrian energy drink producer was able to increase its profits by 35% over '14 to €501M. The company's revenues grew by 20% to €3.2B, while the number of cans sold increased by 6.1% to 5.96 billion. Red Bull is available in 169 countries. The country that saw the biggest increase in sales was Turkey (25%), followed by South Africa and Saudi-Arabia (each 19%), and India and Poland (each 18%). Red Bull reportedly has no debt with banks and its liabilities were €144.8M on Dec. 31, 2015. The company's equity ratio stood at 81%. Red Bull "has developed into a leading sponsor across F1, football and extreme sports" (N-TV, 9/17).
