La Liga Clubs' Collective Debt Down From €89.08M In '10-11 To $209,500

The total being demanded in complaints brought by La Liga players for non-payment by the end of the '15-16 season dropped below the €1M ($1.1M) mark for the first time. The 165 complaints received by the end of the '14-15 campaign fell to just six. Due to the different criteria of the alleged amounts owed, the complaints are unlikely to be successful when they go before the Joint Commission. Of the €89.08M owed in the '10-11 season, only €189,959 ($209,500) remains outstanding. Since Javier Tebas took over the La Liga presidency in '13, the number of non-payments complaints has dropped from 195 in '13-14 (for a total of €22.8M) to 165 in '14-15 (for a total of €16.8M) to just six last season (for a total of €190,000) (La Liga).
