Argentine FA Execs Agree To Hold Extraordinary Assembly On June 28

The Argentine FA will hold an Extraordinary Assembly in Ezeiza on June 28, two days after the final of the Copa América, according to Facundo De Palma of CLARÍN. At the meeting, "execs will look to modify AFA statutes and, finally, approve of the birth of the Superleague." This was decided at a meeting of the AFA's exec committee, which was attended by officials from FIFA and CONMEBOL. The decision "opens a period of negotiations about the distribution of the money generated by the Superleague, the most important topic at the moment, as the AFA is in the red" (CLARÍN, 6/14).
