French National Team Players Could Collect More Than $335,000 With Euro 2016 Win

French Football Federation President Noël Le Graët met with the two French national team delegates, Hugo Lloris and Blaise Matuidi, to “set bonuses for players, depending on the route of the team during Euro 2016,” according to LE FIGARO. Le Graët said, “I met with the delegates. I explained the premium schedule they already know, because usually the Federation pays 30% of the amounts given by UEFA or FIFA, depending on the competition, to the players. In the case of a victory, each player will take home €300,000 ($335,160). Believe me, I would love to pay!” If the French team loses the final, each player will receive €250,000 ($279,300). If the team loses in the semifinal, players will get €210,000 ($234,612). In the case of a defeat in the quarterfinal, players receive €165,000 ($184,338). According to Le Graët, the FFF and the players "have no plans of not advancing past the first two rounds" (LE FIGARO, 6/1).
