Tottenham Looking At Wembley For Champions League Home Matches

Tottenham "could be playing Champions League football at Wembley while White Hart Lane is being redeveloped," according to Aaron Flanagan of the London DAILY MIRROR. The club is set to move out of its current home for a short period of time while its "new 61,000-seater stadium is being built." Club chiefs are "allegedly in talks with Wembley bosses to secure a deal" to play its European games at the national stadium -- and Tottenham could end up in there next season as part of the deal. Spurs will leave the Lane in '17 "as year-long work begins on the new ground." The club faces competition from Chelsea, which is "looking for a home for three years" as it redevelops Stamford Bridge (DAILY MIRROR, 3/31).
