England Euro 2016 Ticket Allocation Cut After FA Accused Of Black Market Hospitality Deals

UEFA is considering cutting England's ticket allocation for the Euro 2016 finals in France because the FA has been "reported for selling black market hospitality packages," according to Charles Sale of the London DAILY MAIL. The tournament organizers awarded Prestige Hospitality, a partnership between French firm Sodexo and the Gloucester-based Mike Burton Group, "exclusive rights in the U.K. to sell hospitality for all Euro 2016 matches." Prestige complained to UEFA about Club Wembley offering ticket, travel and hospitality packages to its members that "undercut" Prestige by as much as £300 ($430), "as well as allegedly being in breach of the Euro 2016 commercial regulations." UEFA is said to be "annoyed enough to start legal action" and it has also mentioned to Prestige about hitting the FA with other sanctions. These include restricting the number of tickets for Euro 2016, at which 75,000 England fans "are expected to be in France" for group games in Marseille, Lens and St. Etienne (DAILY MAIL, 1/25).
