Olympiastadion Berlin has appointed TIMO ROHWEDDER as its new managing director, effective Oct. 1. Rohwedder replaces PETER VON LÖBBECKE, who led the operation on an interim basis from Oct. 20, 2014 until Sept. 30. Rohwedder previously worked as head controller at Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg (Berlin). ... Spain's Superior Sports Council (CSD) on Thursday named OSCAR GRAEFENHAIN its director general of sports. He "vowed to support the federations because it is the easiest way to support the athletes" and to give "continuity to the work that has been done" since '12. He succeeds ANA MUÑOZ (EFE, 9/3). ... Premiership rugby club London Wasps announced the appointment of former Wasps captain and Rugby World Cup winner LAWRENCE DALLAGLIO to Wasps Holding's Board of Directors. Dallaglio, who is also an ambassador of the Rugby World Cup England 2015 and Land Rover globally, has recently been working with Wasps in his role with BBH Sport, advising on marketing campaigns during the move to the West Midlands. He also played a key role in delivering Wasps’ successful £35M retail bond issue earlier this year (Wasps). ... The Int'l Sailing Federation's (ISAF) Head of Sailing World Cup, JOHN CRAIG, has moved on from sailing's governing body to pursue other challenges within sailing. Craig oversaw the development of the ISAF Sailing World Cup series and played a pivotal role in the formation of the ISAF Sailing World Cup Final (ISAF). ... JUSTIN PASCOE "has the task of rescuing the embattled" National Rugby League side Wests Tigers "after being announced as the club's new chief executive." He steps into the role "following a one-year stint as head of NRL at the Panthers." Pascoe "stepped down from his post at the Panthers on Thursday via a club statement." The Tigers "have not had a chief executive since" GRANT MAYER resigned in June (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 9/3). ... Sri Lanka cricket coach MARVAN ATAPATTU "resigned from his position on Thursday following his team's recent test series losses to Pakistan and India." Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement that it "accpected Atapattu's resignation" (AP, 9/3).
