The European Hockey Federation re-elected MARIJKE FLEUREN as president. She "will serve another four-year term" (AD, 8/21). ... German Hockey League (DEL) side Dusseldorf EG has appointed PAUL SPECHT as its manging director effective immediatedly. Specht has been with the club since '12 (DEG). ... Former Sri Lanka cricketer KUMAR SANGAKKARA has been offered a post of Sri Lanka high commissioner by the country's president, MAITHRIPALA SIRISENA. The offer came "straight after India had wrapped up victory in the second Test in Colombo." Sirisena: "You have been a great honor to Sri Lanka" (London GUARDIAN, 8/24). ... CSE VP/Broadcasters & New Media Personalities MATT KRAMER, who "represented a number of high-profile sportswriters and media personalities," has joined CAA and last week began work in the agency's TV division (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/24 issue).
