Bulgarian State Provides $560,000 To Football Club FC Cherno More Varna

FC Cherno More Varna, holder of the Bulgarian Cup and Supercup, has been handed a development grant of €500,000 ($556,200) from the state, according to Alexander Krassimirov of INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL. The money will be used by the club to "improve the grass pitch at Ticha stadium and stadium lighting." This aid money was announced by Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov. He said, "We would not build a completely new stadium, but will finance the renovation of Ticha stadium. The state helps the football clubs to improve their facilities." The funds will be disbursed by the end of the year, but it "is still not clear when the renovation of the stadium in Varna will begin" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 8/19).
