JEFFREY HAAS was named chief int'l officer of DraftKings' new U.K. operation. Haas will lead U.K. operations as well as expansions into mainland Europe, Far East Asia, and Latin America. Haas previously held roles with gaming outfits Bwin.party and PokerStars (Eric Fisher, SportsBusiness Journal). ... CAA Sports Consulting hired veteran researcher JEFF ECCLESTON to head its research and analytics practice. Eccleston most recently was VP and group director at Team Epic-owned Sponsorship Research Int'l. He has worked at SRi since '99, when it was a unit of the now-defunct ISL. Eccleston, a former SportsBusiness Journal/Daily Forty Under 40 honoree, will be based in CAA’s N.Y. offices. Eccleston will start the new job Aug. 31 and will report to CAA Sports Consulting head GREG LUCKMAN (Terry Lefton, SportsBusiness Journal). ... Nigeria appointed two coaches, MUSA CYRIL and TONY AJAELU, "to take charge of the national women's cricket team for an invitational tournament in Tanzania." Cyril "would be in charge of the team and would be assisted by Ajaelu" (NDTV SPORTS, 8/17).
