South African police are reopening the investigation into the death of cricket writer PETER ROEBUCK nearly four years after he fell from a Cape Town hotel room. Police originally ruled the death a suicide, but Roebuck's family have been pushing for the case to be reopened (London DAILY MAIL, 8/2). ... Recently fired Mexico coach MIGUEL HERRERA is under investigation in Mexico City for violations of electoral laws regarding politically oriented tweets. Federal prosecutors in the office for electoral crimes said it was investigating whether the former coach broke laws that prohibit campaign activities on election day (London GUARDIAN, 8/1).
