DEL Club Dusseldorf EG Signs Sponsorship Deal With Russia's Energy Consulting

German Hockey League (DEL) side Dusseldorf EG "has signed a new main and shirt sponsorship deal with Energy Consulting," according to Matthias Kettenburg of SPONSORs. The Russian consulting company "is headed by Mikhail Ponomarev, who is also a chairman of the club." Energy Consulting "will be featured on the front and shoulder of the club's '15-16 jerseys." Financial details of the deal "were not released." However, the club was looking to get an estimated €200,000 ($222,000) annually from a new shirt sponsorship deal. Ponomarev became a shareholder in the club in Nov. '13. In May '14 his stake increased from 18.6% to 30.6% (SPONSORs, 7/27).
