Swedish TV Network SVT Aquires Media Rights For IIHF World Chmpionships Until '23

Infront Sports & Media has signed a media rights agreement with Swedish public service broadcaster Sveriges Television to show the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship for six years on free-TV until '23. The IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship brings together the 16 best teams from around the world in April and May of each year. The agreement between Infront and SVT includes the 2018 to 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships as well as the annual IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships Division I Group A and B across the same period. The exclusive rights covered by the agreement include live, delayed, repeat and highlights coverage on free, pay and pay-per-view channels across Sweden. For the remaining two years of the current media rights cycle, Swedish broadcaster TV4 will continue to cover the tournament extensively (Infront).
