Judge Appoints Trio Of Investigators To Examine Argentine FA's Financial Activity

A trio of inspectors presented to Argentine FA execs a "series of recommendations that will give them a detailed look at the movement of funds by the AFA," according to CLARÍN. The inspectors were designated by Argentine judge María Romilda Servini de Cubría, who is leading an investigation into the AFA's "management over the last six months of money from the sale of TV rights." They held a meeting with AFA President Luis Segura, Secretary of Finance and Taxes José Lemme, Treasurer Eduardo Spinosa and legal adviser Mario Schmoisman. Among the requirements "are bank statements of the withdrawals by the AFA from the last five years and access to the accounts." The AFA confirmed in a statement that it would "collaborate with the inspectors" (CLARÍN, 7/2).
